We are here

The NCCC is not an official party to the complaint regarding Canada's discrimination at the CHRT, which means we have to rely on the Caring Society or AFN to represent the will of the Nations.

After receiving substantial feedback, the Commissioners have applied for Interested Party status at the CHRT. This would give the NCCC the same status during the proceedings as the Chiefs of Ontario and the Nishnawbe Aski Nation. We are waiting to hear back from the CHRT on next steps.
